The Markilux 740/840/745/845: Half Window Awnings, Half Solar Shades
The Marquisolette retractable awnings offer a completely stylish combination that is practical and durable. The top of the awning is a vertical exterior solar shade while the bottom is a window awning that extends out to provide an ideal amount of shade.
The 740 and 840 models are installed with guide rails which keep the solar shade and awning flush against the window. The 740's cassette is a square profile while the 840's cassette offers a round profile.
The 745 and 845 models are installed with guide tracks, and can be installed with stand-off fixtures that extend the solar shade and awning away from the window frame for greater architectural interest.

Awning Design
The Marquisolette series of window awnings have innovative slide-arm technology with optimized gas-primed pistons and windlock mechanisms, a true testament to the Quality German Engineering incorporated into all Markilux awnings. The cassettes stand only 4" in height and are constructed of extruded aluminum. When retracted, the awning is fully enclosed within the cassette to protect it fully from the elements and ensure the longest possible life.
Awning Dimensions
Each window awning is custom-sized to your precise specifications, and for wider installations the units can be coupled for maximum flexibility. The maximum width and drop of a single unit is 9.8 feet.
Awning Drives & Operation
The awning can be operated manually with a stainless steel winding handle, or can be equipped with an electric motor for remote control operation. These window awnings can also be equipped with Sensor-Controlled Automatic Operation.
Awning Fabrics
These Marquisolette window awnings can be fitted with over 200 Unique, High-Tech Awning Fabrics, including our exclusive self-cleaning Sunsilk Nano-Clean and state-of-the-art acrylic fabrics.
