The Markilux 990 Fully Retractable Commercial Awning
The newly re-designed Markilux 990 is a fully-enclosed cassette awning where the awning, roller and arms all retract beautifully into a sealed cassette to protect them from the elements. The awning remains as attractive as the day it was installed for years of outstanding performance in any commercial setting, and the stylish cassette is an enhancement to any building's outdoor decor.
Commercial Awning Design
The 990 is known for its compact and light design and attractive oval cassette that is available in a range of colors. The roller has a diameter of 85 mm to provide strength and a taut awning surface. Teflon coated bronze bushes ensure the arms run smoothly, screws and fittings are all stainless steel and it has corrosion-resistant and wear-free single chain-linked spring-tensioned arms. The pitch can be set from 0-35º, or up to 70º with a top fixture installation.
The 990 benefits from years of Quality German Engineering and innovation that have made Markilux the European standard for years. This retractable awning is ideally suited to smaller courtyards, patios and balconies.
Commercial Awning Dimensions
The 990 is custom-built to your precise requirements, with a maximum width of 20 feet and a maximum drop of 10 feet. For larger areas, multiple units can be installed for maximum flexibility in your shade solution.

Commercial Awning Drives & Operation
The Markilux 990 retractable awning can be equipped with a manual drive (with stainless steel winding handle) or an electric drive and remote control motorized operation. This model is also available with Sensor-Controlled Automatic Operation for the ultimate in convenience and performance.
