Our integrated electric outdoor heaters use unique infrared ray technology--the same type of rays that warm your body under the sun.
These heaters provide evenly distributed and instant warmth, with no heating-up phase. With efficient directionally radiated heat, this proven infrared technology only heats up surfaces the rays touch, not the surrounding air. Since our heaters don't heat the air, they are not affected by cooling breezes and save as much as 30% on energy costs in comparison with gas or quartz radiating heaters.
Markilux heaters include an attractive, unobtrusive housing design in aluminum that can be powder coated to match the color of the awning. The heater can stay in place all year round--the housing is weather-proof and splash-proof, and can be attached to the wall or with special brackets directly to your awning.
A single infrared heater can warm an area of 100 to 140 square feet. The replaceable infrared lamps have an expected life of 5000 hours.
